Bewogen meedenkend ben je een creatieveling om MSA in de kijker tebrengen. Afzien in de 'Dodentocht' goed voor 1710 euro dankzij Floor. Het maken van 504 boeketten voor MSA was goed voor 9170 euro, deze boeketten werden gemaakt onder de leuze 'bloemen maken mensen blij en gelukkig, ook al is dit maar voor even'. Een deel van de opbrengst van de kerstmarkt van het PTI-PCDO Eeklo, samen met het PTI Kortrijk goed voor 1000 euro. Dank je wel Hadewijck en Fred, Ruben en Lindsay, Willem en Caroline, Fien en Brecht, Floor en Lukas en de kleinkinderen Mirte, Suzan en Matheo

A brilliant protein biochemist with a serious impact on synuclein therapies. He uses nice pasta images to illustrate MSA versus PD synuclein pathogens: spaghetti (PD) versus linguini (MSA) Intriguingly, the team generated alpha-synuclein assemblies that differ structurally and functionally, laying down molecular basis for different synucleinopathies, specifically Parkinson’s disease and multiple system atrophy.

Dr. David CROSIERS, MD, PhD, UZA, JiePie Award 2019 for MSA Research

Implementation of a Belgian patient registry for multiple system atrophy (MSA) patients. A registry with an extensive longitudinal data collection involving multiple movement disorder centers will be a major step forward in establishing a network for collaborative research projects. Collection of biological samples, including DNA, plasma, serum, cerebrospinal fluid will allow the registry to collaborate in a European context (EMSA-SG – European MSA Study group)
